The Tomb of Cyrus the Great is located in the former capital of Iran, Pasargadae. The city of Pasargadae was chosen as the first Achaemenid capital during the reign of Cyrus, and various palaces were built there to testify to the greatness and splendor of the Achaemenid dynasty. This work was registered as a sub-complex of Pasargadae in the UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2004. Its date back to 2500 years ago

The tomb consists of two parts
a) The platform or stepped base
Consisting of six stone floors
The total height of the tomb is about 11 meters
The first three steps are one meter high and the second three steps are half a meter high

b) The burial chamber (tomb chamber)
