    The peacock pattern on the Sheikh Lotfollah dome has been created with such elegance that it has become one of the wonders of the mosque. It is interesting to know that the peacock feathers are created by the light that enters the space from the arch of the mosque, and you should not expect to see a complete pattern of a real peacock in your mind.
    This rare and lovely peacock rests at the highest point of the dome, and only during certain hours of the day, its luminous feathers flow like a waterfall of light over the beautiful dome of Sheikh Lotfollah.
