Sattar Khan, the third son of Haj Hassan Qara Daghi, was born on October 20, 1866, in the village of Sardarkandi in the Varzeqan County. He initially gained fame for his bravery and leadership spirit in the struggles of Tabriz and was able to play an effective role in preserving the city through resistance and effort
With the onset of the constitutional revolution against Mohammad Ali Shah in Tehran and its spread throughout the country, the Qajar king engaged in the struggle and repression of constitutionalists. The freedom fighters and constitutionalists from Azerbaijan and the Caucasus, led by Sattar Khan and Bagher Khan, rose up in support of the constitutional movement in Tehran and strongly resisted the forces of Mohammad Ali Shah, numbering between 35,000 to 40,000, sent to suppress the uprising in Tabriz under the command of Ain al-Doleh, and prevented them from taking control of the city

Sattar Khan passed away on November 16, 1914 (28th of Dhu al-Hijjah, 1332) in Tehran
Sattar Khan’s tomb is located in the Tooti Garden next to the shrine of Shah Abdol Azim in Shahr-e Rey
