Lotfali Khan Zand (1183 AH – 1209 AH) or Lotfali Shah Zand was the ninth and last ruler of the Zand dynasty, who governed in Iran for six years from 1203 to 1209 AH. Most of Lotfali Khan’s reign was spent in battle against his powerful rival Agha Muhammad Khan Qajar, and ultimately, after being defeated by him, he was captured and then killed on his orders
Lotfalli Khan Zand had great skill in horseback riding and warfare techniques since childhood. Before ascending to the throne and during his first important military campaign, he brought the ruler of Lar back under the control of the Zand dynasty.
