Nader Shah Afshar was one of the great rulers of Iran and the founder of the Afsharian dynasty. He is recognized as a prominent military leader and politician, and his reign is considered one of the important periods in the history of Iran.

BIOGRAPHY

Nadir Shah was born in 1688 in an ordinary family in Khorasan. He initially served as a local commander and tribal leader, gradually increasing his power. In 1736, after defeating the last Shah of the Safavid dynasty, Shah Tahmasb II, he proclaimed himself as the king of Iran and was crowned.

 Conquest of India: One of Nader Shah’s greatest achievements was the conquest of India and the capture of Delhi in 1739. After this conquest, he brought immense wealth to Iran and was recognized as the Sultan of India

Strengthening the army: Nader Shah organized and strengthened the Iranian army and was recognized as a skilled military commander

Internal reforms: He made efforts for economic and administrative reforms and worked on rebuilding the country’s infrastructure

However, Nader Shah’s government faced problems. The anger and dissatisfaction of the people increased due to heavy taxes and ongoing wars. Eventually, in 1747, Nader Shah was murdered by one of his close associates. After his death, Iran entered a period of instability and chaos that led to the collapse of the Afsharid dynasty

The tomb of Nader Shah is a structure in the Naderi Garden Museum complex in the city of Mashhad, designed and built by Houshang Seyhun in 1963 in memory of Nader Shah Afshar. The building of the Nader Shah tomb consists of a central part that serves as the burial site of Nader Shah and two museum halls, one of which displays weapons from various periods of Iranian history, while the other showcases weapons and artifacts related to the era of Nader Shah

This building was registered on December 9, 1975, with registration number 1174 as one of the national monuments of Iran
