One of these churches is called Bethlehem, which is known as one of the most famous churches in Isfahan after the <a href=\"https:\/\/zhiva-parvaz.com\/en\/vank-cathedral\/\">Vank Church<\/a>.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;font-size: 14pt\">After Armenian refugees came to Isfahan and settled in a neighborhood called Jolfa, they created works of art and especially beautiful architecture to build churches, houses, streets and alleys. Many churches were built by Armenians, unfortunately many of them have disappeared today, but some of them have maintained their glory and prestige and are still one of the tourist attractions of Isfahan, a place visited by many foreign tourists and domestic travelers. <\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;font-size: 14pt\">Bethlehem Church is one of these places to see in <a href=\"https:\/\/zhiva-parvaz.com\/en\/chehel-sotun-palace\/\">Isfahan<\/a>.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;font-size: 14pt\">The history of the construction of Bethlehem Church dates back to the era of Shah Abbas Safavi and the year 1306 AH. This church was built by a person named Khajeh Potros Valijanian, a famous merchant of the Safavid era. It is interesting to know that his grave and that of several of his family members are located in the church yard. Some sources state that Emir Peter decided to build the Bethlehem church due to the crowd at the entrance to the Church of the Holy Virgin. Two churches, the Church of the Holy Virgin and the Church of the Holy Virgin, are located near this church.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;font-size: 14pt\">The architecture of this church is rectangular and domed and has the largest dome among the churches of its religion. Its dome has no decoration on the outside and is built in a double-walled interior with eight skylights. You can see a cross on the outside and on the dome. If you want to understand the grandeur of this building, we should say that the height of the dome from the ground is 25 meters and its diameter is 11 meters. This dome is supported by four large arches on the northern and southern walls of the church.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;font-size: 14pt\">The interior walls are also covered with plaster and all of them are decorated with very beautiful and artistic paintings with themes taken from the Bible that attract the attention of every tourist. The lower part of the walls is also decorated with glazed tiles in indigo and blue.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;font-size: 14pt\">Bethlehem Church is one of the beautiful churches in the Jolfa neighborhood of Isfahan, located a short distance from the Church of the Virgin Mary. Bethlehem Church has a tall and magnificent building and the largest dome among the churches in Jolfa, Isfahan. This church is located on Sharqi Street and Jolfa Big Square.
