The Tomb of Cyrus the Great is located in the former capital of Iran, Pasargadae. The city of Pasargadae was chosen as the first Achaemenid capital during the reign of Cyrus, and various palaces were built there to testify to the greatness and splendor of the Achaemenid dynasty. This work was registered as a sub-complex of Pasargadae in the UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2004. Its date back to 2500 years ago<\/span><\/p>\n

The Mausoleum of Cyrus the Great, located in Pasargadae, Iran, dates back to around 2,500 years ago. The structure has a six-story platform topped by a small burial chamber with a gable.
